Specialized Chisel HT Comp Cross Country Mountain Bike
The Specialized Chisel HT Comp is purpose-built for tackling modern cross-country trails and race courses with maximum speed. Sharing many features with its Epic Hardtail sibling, the Chisel offers high performance in a more budget-friendly package, making it one of the most efficient and capable alloy hardtails available.
Key Benefits for Riders
Modern XC Geometry for Precision and Control
With Progressive XC Geometry, the Chisel is designed to provide the perfect balance of stability and responsiveness. The 68-degree headtube angle and longer reach ensure confident handling at high speeds, while the efficient design maximizes control on technical trails. Whether you're racing or riding for fun, the Chisel is engineered for precision.
Lightweight and Durable Construction
Thanks to D'Aluisio Smartweld Technology, the Chisel is one of the lightest alloy hardtail frames in its class, weighing just 1,350g. This technology uses hydroformed alloy tubes to create high-strength, compliant welds, providing excellent durability while keeping weight low. The frame features size-tuned stiffness, optimizing performance and comfort.
Efficient Suspension for Smoother Rides
The Chisel is equipped with the RockShox Judy Gold fork, offering 100mm of travel (80mm for XS) with Motion Control damper and Solo Air spring. This suspension ensures smoother handling over rough terrain and improved control, allowing you to stay fast and confident through varying conditions.
Reliable Drivetrain and Braking Performance
The SRAM NX Eagle 1x12-speed drivetrain provides a wide range of gears for tackling both climbs and fast descents with ease. Paired with SRAM Level T hydraulic disc brakes, this setup ensures smooth shifting and reliable stopping power, giving you full control on every ride.
Customizable for Maximum Performance
The Chisel also features compatibility with a 30.9mm dropper post, providing adjustable saddle height for better control on descents. Its internal cable routing keeps the bike clean and efficient, while the threaded bottom bracket offers easier maintenance and better durability.
Why Choose the Specialized Chisel HT Comp?
The Chisel HT Comp is the ideal bike for riders seeking a high-performance cross-country hardtail at an affordable price. With advanced suspension, modern geometry, and a reliable drivetrain, it offers exceptional value and performance, whether you're racing or exploring new trails.
